The perfect combo is going to be a new section to the kidlazy blog and probably the most exciting and creative one for me at least. I have always loved reading blogs-, i spend hours searching for new fashion blogs and reading new material on new and old & established blogs. So i decided that every week i’ll select a certain look from a blog ie “altamira” and then i will look for similar clothes on different online stores in order to match up the look for you guys at a resonable price! I am going to be doing this every friday from now on so stay tuned, drop me a line and tell me what you think!
This is my personal recomendation for today! I love the shwood sunglasses and those brogues are just the business. To make the overall look even more casual i’ve chosen a shirt by Reiss and a simple pair of washed out jeans. This a nice and casual look but at the same time its cool and sophisticated! There is a nice contrast between the elegancy of the borgues shoes and the coolness of the shwood sunglasses!
Winter is kicking in and everybody has started advertising for xmas already. Since Xmas is coming up i though i ‘d make some suggestions on possible Christmas Gifts you can get. I’ve always loved accessories because the make a massive difference to the entire outfit if you use them correctly, i love wearing all these accessories because you cannot wear most of them during the summer.
I love this belt by reiss! Brown leather belts are the latest thing just now! You can go for (Black wet look jeans, Knitwear on top-(v-neck-cardigan, in black) and then you can match that belt with some brogues!
Check these lovely scarves from duchamp!!A nice scarf is a wardrobe essential for this season! It also looks cool and sophisticated and can be combined with loads of styles.
I also like this Bag i found on reiss, also an essential for this season!
I visited the Reiss online store the other day just to check out the new arrivals and ended up buying a jacket! I know I’ve always liked Reiss but I think that im getting a little bit addicted to online shopping. I only started online shopping when I acquired my first debit card which was recently. The first month I didn’t really buy anything online but the month after that I bought something for the first time from Reiss and then from French connection, and after that I was hooked! I got addicted to the idea of online shopping because it didn’t take much effort-just a couple of clicks and you get whatever you want (literally whatever you want). I was one of the people that didn’t think much of online shopping when it comes to clothes and that was because i always thought that you need to try something on first. If you know the brand and you’ve purchased clothes before from the specific company you are fine, but even if you don’t know the brand most websites these days enable you to return the product and get your money back! (haven’t done that so far, and I’ve spent loads and experimented with new brands). Anyway so I was on the Reiss website the other day and I ended up buying this gorgeous jacket pictured below! How could i resist?look at it!
I visited the duchamp website and Marc Psarolis has just added a new blogpost called the History of the tie. It is really interesting as it describes with words-videos and pictures how the duchamp ties are actually created! “a Duchamp tie is a marvellous amalgam of art and technology” and its nice to see how everything is put together from selecting the materials to designing and weaving tie. You should follow th link and check out Marcs post as it is an interesting read for everyone.
Brogues have been around for ages and are usually described as mostly a smart shoe that can be easily combined with a lot of styles. Although some people say that this type of shoe originated in England, The true original brogues have got Scotish and Irish roots. Although Brogues are considered smart it must be said that in the 1930’s gentlemen never used to wear brogues for special occasions or business especially brown brogues. For some reason in those days it was required to wear a plain black shoe for business and special occasions. The black Shoes were considered more formal but people got kind of bored of that look and were more attracted by the different colour combinations and patterns of the new brogues shoes as the leather industrys were making progress.
The Sartorialist Is Probably one of the Top Fashion websites/blogs Out there just now. The man behind the Sartorialist is Scott Schuman who has been involved with the fashion industry, specifically fashion marketing for the past 15 years. 4 years ago he decided to leave the fashion industry and take care of his kids. He also started a blog that focused on street style as in real street style-real people and not models. The blog over the past year has become very successfull, to the point were well known established fashion designers visit his blog to get ideas and inspiration. The reason why the blog is so successfull is because it involves real people and real style which is much better than something completly staged, and plastic, its simple and authentic. The other factor that makes the website/ blog successfull is the quality of the pictures. Scuhman now enjoys a romantic life that involves travelling to milan-NYC and other major cities to take pictures for his blog ” The Sartorialist” and to attend fashion shows and events.
I visited the Duchamp London Website yesterday and i noticed that they have got a brand new website. The Site is lloking good and they have added some new categories ( Jackets-Marcs Blog). You need to see the Jacket section, I had only seen shirts -ties and accessories By duchamp, I never thought they did Jackets which look absolutely amazing by the way. Marcs blog is a section that allows the Marc Psarolis to communicate with customers and to give the tips, recommendations and to interact with the customers.
